The 2012 Wall of Hands Pre-Launch Event took place on the 13th of June at the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence, and provided an opportunity for ALNF to thank its top supporters with a sneak-peak of this year’s campaign.
Attendees, including the Hon. Victor Dominello, the NSW Minister for Citizenship and Communities, and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, were welcomed to country by Donna Ingram and addressed by ALNF Ambassadors Jeremy Donovan and Faustina Agolley. ALNF supporters were treated to a preview of the 2012 Community Action Support (CAS) film documenting Faustina’s trip to Tennant Creek as well as this year’s Wall of Hands television commercial – click HERE to view.
Throughout the evening, against the acoustic backdrop of music duo Microwave Jenny, guests were invited to place their painted hands on the Wall of Hands travelling billboard to show they care about Indigenous literacy.
