Yarn’s Young Artists Competition Collection is here!

We’re so excited to announce that the winner is in and Yarn’s Young Artists Competition Collection is finally here!

The winning artwork ‘The Ritjinguthinha’, is designed by 2020 Young Artist Competition winner Jaeve.

Depicting the Dreamtime stories of her people, the Kalkadoon people of the Mount Isa region, the artwork is a testament to Jaeve’s incredible talent and passion as a young artist, at just 16 years of age!

100% of the profits from these beautiful shirts will be donated to ALNF, along with Yarn’s other community partners.

Be sure to check out the inspiring collection here !

Calling all young creatives!

We’re excited to share that Bundarra Brand are holding their first ever Young Artists Competition!

Since its creation in 2011, Bundarra Brand has aimed to bring Indigenous culture to the mainstream, with profits channelled to supporting Indigenous employment, artist sponsorship and donations for community development projects.

The inaugural Young Artists Competition is Bundarra’s way of highlighting young, Indigenous artists’ talents, and we’re totally on board!

COMPETITION THEME

If you’re a young, emerging Aussie artist, aged 6 to 16 years, Bundarra are inviting you to create an artwork that relates to this year’s NAIDOC Week theme “Always Was, Always Will Be”, representing either culture, ceremony and/or spiritual connection to country. For example, the artwork can be themed around the entrant’s own community totems, ancestral stories, song lines, language and dancing.

COMPETITION PRIZE

Following a shortlist of the top 5 entries through a public vote, the winner will be decided by two of Bundarra’s renowned Indigenous artists, Luke Mallie, from Kuku Yalanji and Kubin Village country, and Holly Sanders, from Bundjalung country.

The winner will receive a $500 Bundarra voucher and have their design printed as a limited-edition Bundarra collection. The winner and their family (up to 10 people) will also receive free collection products.

100% of the profits from collection sales will be donated to Bundarra’s partner charities, including ALNF!

Entries are open until October 9th, 2020, so make sure to check out the competition details at: https://paint4.bundarra.org/
