My name is Jeremy Donovan and I am a proud descendent of the Kuku-Yalanji tribe of far Northern Queensland and an ALNF ambassador.
I am reaching out to you today as it is National Reconciliation Week, one of the most important weeks in our nation’s calendar.
This week, as a country, we stand side by side and celebrate the richness and beauty of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestral foundations of this country.
Reconciliation Week is a time where we should not shy away from conversations around injustices of the past or continued disparity, but commit as a generation never to repeat such pain and come together to strive for equality.
I am honoured to be an ALNF ambassador and know through my own challenges that literacy is the key to participating fully in society.
Join me, and be part of the generation that ends Indigenous disparity by supporting our Wall of Hands Indigenous Literacy Appeal.
Help us reach our goal of $600,000 to raise literacy and numeracy standards across Australia for all Indigenous children and their communities.
Dream big,
Jeremy
