Position description

The Early Language and Literacy Development Index (ELLDI) is a pioneering formative assessment tool designed to support the development of children from 2 to 5 years old, with the potential to extend to age 8. Recognised globally by the UN-based World Summit Award for its innovative contributions to education, the ELLDI plays a key role in the future of early childhood learning.

We are excited to invite applications for a dedicated ELLDI Trainer to work alongside the outstanding team at ALNF to ensure the ELLDI platform reaches its full potential and continues to support quality early education.

This position involves travel to remote, regional and urban program sites around Australia.

Core duties


  • Onboard New Learning Sites: Introduce and onboard preschools and other learning sites onto the ELLDI digital platform, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Training & Support: Provide comprehensive training to staff and participants at new and existing learning sites, ensuring effective and quality use of the ELLDI platform.
  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Early Language and Literacy (EL&L) Trainers and the EL&L Program Manager, providing ongoing support for the use and maintenance of the ELLDI digital platform.
  • Educational Materials Development: Collaborate with colleagues to create educational resources, such as teaching advice and strategies based on ELLDI results, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Documentation & Revisions: Revise and develop user-friendly ELLDI Training Materials and documentation to ensure consistent and clear guidance for platform users.
  • Data Management: Assist in the creation of procedures and protocols for the administration and management of ELLDI data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Reporting & Coordination: Support the coordination of ELLDI data for reporting purposes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation for stakeholders.
  • User Activity Monitoring: Conduct regular reviews of user activity on the ELLDI platform, providing feedback and reporting observations to ALNF management.
  • Stakeholder Records Management: Maintain up-to-date records of stakeholders and users involved in the ELLDI platform.
  • Quality Assurance Testing: Assist the Director of Digital Innovation with quality assurance testing of the digital platform, ensuring that it meets high standards of usability and functionality.

Salary range: $80,000 - $109,999 per annum
